A better way of doing this is by doing exactly what PDoA is doing currently. They are running a system were you can purchase certain things for a cause (new server or raise money for a charity or something). If you are doing it for a benefit and not for personal gain then Nintendo has no reason to go after you. What they are currently doing is selling Poke'mon between $2 and $10 depending on rarity and they are selling TM's, 100 Rare Candies for $5 and custom sprites between $2 and $5 (you tell the developer what you want and they will make the sprite for you).

Why is this thread stickied? I just realised that this is just a thread somebody made with a bunch of ideas they had, but now everyone (myself included) is posting their suggestions in here when they're not even related to the OP. Can't help feeling they're all going to go overlooked...

About that Cash thing...

It would Bring down Nintendo on this Game faster then you can say Fuck.

The Moment Cash is earned Nintendo will Stop this... While they ignore smaller pokemon MMO's they NEVER will Ignore People making Money with their game. Trust me on this.

What about that pokemon MMO that's been going on for 8 years, and trades cash for tokens? If they host the server in the proper place, and take the proper precautions, there's not a lot nintendo can do.

You're still using copyrighted material for profit. Nintendo can hand you a cease & desist order which basically shuts you down.

Anyway, as for a suggestion, make trainers give exp. It's a pain in the arse having to grind wild pokemon for tiny amounts of exp when there are trainers available.

As awesome as this game is, making it and distributing it online without Nintendo's permission is already illegal. When you start charging money for it, this will get shut down and everyone involved in the manufacturing/distribution side of the game will be dragged into court, especially since a Pokemon MMO in a giant pokemon world (rather than just one region) would be very popular and earn Nintendo a lot of money. I think you should give up on the idea of making money and just work on fixing the bugs in this game and any annoying problems such as EXP from Wild and Trainer Pokemon
