well when you begin to fight him it is the first fight in which he does not use his raticate last seen on board the ship in which you fought him. A lot of fans speculate it was YOU who killed him because he could not find a pokemon centre

That actually just blew my mind, because it's something that Nintendo would actually do xD. Still, it would've blew my mind so much more if it wasn't a lame raticate xD
